Cleaning Associate (Part-Time)

Innovative Refrigeration Systems, Inc. is looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Part-Time Cleaning Associate to maintain cleanliness and hygiene at our commercial office facility in Lyndhurst, VA.

Innovative Refrigeration Systems, Inc. is a premier custom design build contractor for industrial refrigeration systems, providing design, fabrication, construction, commissioning, and service in-house.

Job Role: The Cleaning Associate is responsible for all janitorial cleaning within our office. This evening shift role works independently to ensure a clean, safe, and organized environment for staff and visitors. The position is 20 hours per week, Monday through Friday from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

Key Duties:

• Vacuum all carpeted areas and spot clean stains as needed
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, urinals, and sinks
• Mop hard surfaces such as stairwells, breakrooms, and bathrooms
• Sanitize desks, counters, cabinets, shelves, and other surfaces
• Clean interior windows
• Empty trash bins and replace liners in all rooms
• Clean kitchen appliances and breakroom refrigerators as needed
• Maintain supply closet and restock as necessary
• Secure the building and set alarms at end of shift
• Perform additional cleaning tasks as assigned

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of commercial and/or residential cleaning experience
• Experience cleaning office or industrial environments preferred
• Ability to work independently and manage tasks without supervision
• Comfortable working during evening hours and alone
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills
• Ability to provide professional references
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug test
• Must be able to lock up and secure the facility each evening
• Must be able to remain in a stationary position (seated or standing) for extended periods
• Occasionally may need to lift or carry items up to 25 pounds (e.g., cleaning supplies, small equipment)

Preferences:

• Experience in janitorial roles within large facilities or offices
